Compounded with the purest grade carnauba wax, plus special binders and spreading agents, Honey Waxx has been the leading choice in mould release agents for decades. Faster spreading, higher lustre and multiple releases add up to an easy to apply the product that delivers consistently perfect reproduction of detail time and time again. For over 25 years, Honey Wax has been the choice mould release agent for the reinforced composites industry. Excellent release characteristics are achieved when used with PVA. We recommend that new moulds are coated with four layers before use. Apply two coats of wax, buff off the excess, and allow to stand for an hour before applying the last two coats to give solvents extra time to evaporate so a tougher wax barrier develops.
Honey Wax® reduces man hours due to its exceptional ease of application and buffing. It is an excellent mold release agent providing reproducibility, glossiness, and a non-staining, hard releasing film which are important to the fabricator. It is easier to apply and remove than other processed waxes and the residual film is resistant to abrasion. Honey Wax® creates a durable wax surface that remains intact for multiple pulls.

PVA should be used to aid in the release of parts from a mold. It should be applied in three thin mist coats over...Application videos using PVA.PVA application @ 9:40 PVA application @ 8:35Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) is often utilized as a mold release agent in industries such as plastics, rubber, and composites. Here's how it works:- Coating: PVA can be applied as a thin film or coating onto the surface of a mold or other surface where sticking might occur.
- Barrier: Once applied, the PVA forms a barrier between the surface and the material being molded or worked with, preventing adhesion.
- Water Solubility: PVA is water-soluble, which means that after the molding process is complete, the PVA can be easily washed away with water, leaving behind the molded object.
- Smooth Finish: PVA can also contribute to a smoother surface finish on the molded object, as it helps in preventing imperfections caused by sticking.
It's important to note that while PVA can be effective as a release agent in certain applications, its performance depends on the specific materials, processes, and conditions involved. For other applications, different types of release agents might be more suitable. Always ensure to test the compatibility and effectiveness of any release agent in your specific use case before widespread application.
