Often used in combination with other materials, forming composites with a wide range of uses such as canoe and other boat repairs.

- High tensile strength to weight ratio making it an extremely strong material
- Lightweight
- Corrosion and heat resistant
Kevlar when combined with layers of resin results in a ‘rigid’ material that is light and has twenty times the strength of steel. For this reason it is used extensively in the manufacture of panels and wings for fighter jets, including the Eurofighter Typhoon. During the manufacture of Formula One racing cars, Kevlar® has been used for the bodywork and petrol tank of those cars but has many more uses.
This would be our strongest fabric in stock, with it far exceeding steel and even specialist metal alloys, such as magnesium alloys, used in aerospace engineering.
